Hello! Welcome to my little universe. ✨ My name is Gabrielle, but I am known in the industry as Flowsé. My DJ name is a fusion between the words "flow" and "osé", the idea behind it is an invitation to dare to be in the flow, to completely surrender, and this goes for both the dancers and my self.

I’ve spent my life collecting music out of passion, and in 2021, I decided to take things to the next level by buying a Numark Mixtrack Pro so I could co-create with my music. I learned everything on the go, spending hours watching YouTube tutorials, digging through obscure Reddit forums, practicing, dancing, swearing, wanting to give up thousands of times, but each time, I would return to the decks because the call of the music was stronger than anything. Then, little by little, and without realizing it, I developed enough talent to get booked at festivals, small gigs, and gained enough confidence to put myself out there and post my sets online. I learned it all the hard way so you don't have to.

Am I the most expert DJ who will teach you dozens of flashy transitions like James Hype? No. My specialty and my role as an educator is to help you build or rebuild your foundations as a DJ. I help you learn solid basics in terms of music theory for DJs, important skills and knowledge of the equipment. I help you develop your ability to use your own resources and trust your knowledge. My goal is for you to know that no matter the context in which you’re mixing, you’ll know that you know. Once you’re confident in your autonomy with the right foundations, my role is done, and it’s your own quest to push yourself further in the joy that will drive you to learn the flashy transitions you want!! How does that sound?! 🙂

Also, know that I won’t have 100% of the answers to all your questions, and we might have to find the answers together! This is a good thing. :) As a DJ, you’ll quickly see that you have to be pretty resourceful to find your answers. But don’t worry! During the lessons, you can rely on me. :)

Note: I’ve was born without my left arm since birth due to Amniotic Band Syndrome, so I mix with one hand (like Black Coffee

)! (And no, I can not teach you how to scratch unfortunately. 😂)

Happy that our paths are crossing!! Don’t hesitate if you have any questions.
