The fact that the sessions are spaced out in time also allows for better integration of the material through the magic of sleep. If you can practice between sessions, even better! :)

This format is ideal for music lovers who just want to dip their toes and see if DJing is for them. It can serve either as an initiation or a maintenance session, or to solidify your knowledge of DJing at a particular level (theory, technique, technology, equipment...) if this is what you are looking for.

You need:
♦︎ Your wired headphones (not bluetooth!) - any brand, they can even be cheap little pods from dollarama.
♦︎ Having your own laptop is ideal if you want to have your software on hand ready to mix from home afterwards, however it is not required for the basic courses.
♦︎ Your software installed for mixing if you bring your own laptop.*

The course is for you if... You have no DJing background and want a complete introduction to the subject. This course is also for you if you have a little background, but feel a little lost when it comes to music theory related to DJing, or basic mixing techniques (EQ channels, transitions, looping, effects, when, what and how to mix). This course is for you if you need guidance and advice with the technology: whether we talk about the subtleties of the software or the console itself. This course is for you if you want resources or answers to your questions about the industry. Finally, this course is for you if you are the kind of motivated person who likes to learn and discover independently, because more than being a DJ, my role as a teacher is to inspire you to learn on your own.
The course is not for you if... You are already an experienced intermediate/ advanced DJ. It is not for you if you want to learn advanced DJing techniques such as complex transitions, how to scratch or the live production aspect of DJing. This course is not for you if you want to learn the old school way and mix on vinyls (but go my friend if that's your case! 😄🤙🏻). Finally, we will probably not be a good match if you are someone who prefers rigid concepts and staying in squared boxes, because that's really not my style of teaching.

Intuition
This course can be taken as a follow-up to the trilogy, or as a stand-alone course. We will work on honing your musical ear and mixing with the best technology of all: your intuition! Perfect for DJs who already have some (or a little) experience with mixing, but are hesitant when it comes to choosing the next song or structuring a set. Laptop (and headphones) required, with a collection of at least 15 songs.

Rekordbox
If you want to convert to Rekordbox, or learn the subtleties of the software, this course is for you! You will learn a bunch of useful tips to make your environment your own, and thus catapult your efficiency as a DJ which will give you the space to do more of what you love: mixing!! You need your laptop with Rekordbox installed on it.
